Default performance mods???

i just bought my cbr 900rr about a month or so ago and im still new to the whole motorcycle performance world. not that my bike isnt already damn fast enough, i was just wondering what kind of options i had as far as performance mods? ex: wtf does it mean to jet my bike or upgrade the jets in the carb. i can just about figure this out on cars because thats all ive lived for 20 years now but the motorcycle world is still new to me. any suggestions anyone?

yeah take it to someone who knows what to do or you could have a real mess on your hands if you are good with carb mods but if you are somewhat mechanicaly inclined, then you could order a factory brand jet kit, a aftermarket exhaust, and a k@n airfilter i would recomend you go erion racing pipes they were designrd really well for the 900rr and make plenty of power you could also get a cometic racing head gasket this will get you a bolt on compression upgrade, these are gonna run about 1000 for all but i may have a exhaust for you what year did tou say the bike was

my 900 is a 95' model. ive already got a carbon wrapped pipe on it. i think the guy who had it befor the guy i bought it from used it for a race bike. its got two brothers racing on it and the wind screen had honda racing in chrome stickers on it. its a pretty bad machine
