Possibilities from what I would assume would be:
1- fan switch
2- plugged up radiator
3- bad jetting
4- at worst a leaking head( you can tell if you get bubbles in your radiator line or anti-freeze in your engine oil- this is in a worst of all scenario cases very unlikely.)

I would start off with the plugged radiator or fan switch

Is your thermostat stuck open. Should try and get a new one and try that. If it is stuck open the fluid never stays in the rad lond enough to cool down and if it is stuck closed well then the fluid doesn,t travel at all. You could also try flushing your rad and putting new antifreeze in.

I'm having the same problem with the over heating.. I even took out the thermostat. I think it may be the radiator..

Taking the thermostat out isn't that good if you getinto town because it never gives the liquild a chance to stay in the rad long enough to cool down but it is ok if you are going down the hwy

When you hard wired your fan, did you happen to cross the leads? If so, you may have wired the fan so that it blows rather than sucks or vise-versa (I forget if the fan is on the front or rear of the radiator on a stock CBR).

Just a thought.

It's on the inside, working as a puller fan. The fan makes a clicking noise when you rotate it backwards. I was going to try to do exactly what you just mentioned and use my fan as a pusher on front of the radiator because the manifold, turbo, and intake plumbing took up too much room behind the radiator for the fan to fit.

230 while moving on the highway? that's way too high. i would think there's a plug somewhere if you've already changed out the t-stat and water pump (which if you took apart, it's almost a single solid piece so shouldn't go 'bad', if it does it starts to leak). try using 50/50 mix of Distilled water and distilled (white) vinegar and run it for a bit so it eats up the gunk...see if that helps.

how often did you flush the system before this happened? if never, then i'm sure you have obstructions in the lines.
