Hello everyone ! Put new bar ends on went riding and my throttle stuck wide open on me in 1st gear. As a result, gained screws in my knee and ankle and broke a collar bone. Now the bike , 1999 900rr sustained a few bruises. Anybody got parts ? My email is tnaeidem@gmail.com. Looking for upper cowl ,fr. Wow, glad you are ok. I installed bar ends on my 96 900RR and had a problem with the throttle getting stuck, but I found it before I even started my bike. I put them on and rolled the throttle to see if the would stick. Had to do some minor mods to the grip and have had no problems since. Good luck with recovery and putting her back together.

 

Thanks for the replys ! I'm doin a lot better now ! Going thru withdrawl from my bike with the weather being so nice here in Mn. I'm just getting to the point of walking without the brace. The only thing with a motor I'm able to do is my rider mower and it just don't give me the fix I need ! I had my 99 900 rr up to 170 mph earlier that night ! Funny thing is my buddy thought his Meanstreak was fast till we rode that night. I actually whooped a 05 r1 that same night. No my bike isn't stock , but its still streatable. I rode my buddys 929 and like the handling but it lacked the high end torque mine has. 99 900rr is still the best of the 900's in my eyes !!! Honda fan forever !!!

I feel your pain, little too much front brake on Tuesday. I now have a broken shoulder blade and collarbone ! My bike also has many bruises.. did not get the nerve to look at it yet in shop.
I might be able to help you out with some parts. I just have to wait a few weeks to get my arm in movement. In sling right now and in pain..for me and my bike. Brian. Good luck with your recovery and bike ~

 

Wow ! Nova that sucks ,,,,,,where. Do ya live ? I'm in Minnesota. I hate that its this early in the year and I live 2 miles from the biggest biker bar in the area , and the worst thing is I watch atleast a dozen bikes go by a day ! Don't try to rush the recovery like I did ! It will only set ya back ! I'm going on 2.5 months of recovery now. I will never run again ,never be able to jump again and I will need a knee replacement in less than 20 years. Do what the doctors tell ya and hopefully you have a speacial somebody to help ya out ! not going to rush heeling but already bought gas tank on ebay.
just took two perocets and trying to strap fishing rod to arm so i can go out tonight for a couple of hours and beers

 

Pecks help things a bit ! I've been doin a lot of fishing myself ,enough the wife thinks I need a boat now ! I say no ,cause as soon as I got the parts I will be puttin them on and getting back on the road ! Last year I had 5000 miles down before July 15th. That's pretty good considering I live in Mn, my buddy is also on here and he wiped out pretty good hitting gavel at a intersection. Ripped his knee wide open. Also scared up his 1000rr a bit. He's got the blue and gold one with all the dirt bike pics in it. Not a good start to the season. I took a look at your pics ,looks like you have few parts and a hell of a nice bike !
