I just brought home my new baby!! she is a 1997 ?Yamaha YZF600R and is beautiful!!! I had blast riding her home (about a 40mile ride). I can't wait to open her up a little more when i get more comfortable! A few pics for the gang:

Are those alluminum framed and are the newer models FI? I've been thinking about a good used YZF600 as my wife's 2nd bike, she loves her Ninja 250, but enjoys the power of my F4 when she takes it for little spins.

 

I looked long and hard at the YZF 600 beafore buying my F4i. It had a comfortable riding possition for rider and passenger, looked cool, and had enough get up and go for an entry level and intermediate rider, and was about $7,000 brand new. After I sat on the CBR, though, it was all over...stick a fork in me! Nice bike, though, have fun and be safe.

thanks all!!! now i am not going to contest that fact that the CBR's are a better... but i will say that THIS bike is awesome, and a blast to ride!!!! The 40mile ride home was so exhilerating(sp?) and went by in a flash!!

Oh, and it is alluminum FLIP! not FI.

I cannot wait to go out riding again!

Just got an '06 CBR1kRR silver a few weeks ago.
Still holdin onto the Fizzer for old times sake.

Its ok to have the "BUG" just dont get stung.
