Ok my next question.....
HELLO FORUM!! Hope everyone has been well while I was away!! LOL
Ok refreshing this post with anew question. Started work on my 97 900RR again. Bought a fresh battery installed it, depressed the starter button and nothing. So I started looking up possible issues and the only thing I could find at the time was to check the starter magnetic switch assembly. Sure enough I tested it and it was bad. Got a new one and bam, she turned over like a champ. So from there I took the carbs off to clean them up before trying to start it as I had some less then favorable gas in there when it was put way for the winter. Cleaned everything up and put it all back together and filled it with fresh fuel. Started turning it over to get it to start and then its stops tuning over. Dead like before putting in the new starter switch only this time the starter switch is still clicking like it should and still tests like it should. So my questions is what should be the next thing to check? So far I havent had much luck finding anything so any help would be appreciated!

Well I think I found my problem. The new part I put in went to crap. Cause if I smack it with the back of a screw driver and hit the switch it will turn over and start like it's supposed to. So now I need to order a new one and hope it doesn't go bad like this one did. If so there's another issue causing it to fail and will have to figure that out then.
