Changing oil/filter on '98



New oil filter is genuine Honda, but its shorter in length by about a 1/2" compared to the old one that was already on the bike.

The old filter is also a genuine Honda part, but does not have a part# on it

The part # on the new shorter filter is: 15410-MFJ-D01


Maybe the new filter is wrong, or the old one was wrong, or its just the latest version? Any ideas?

 

Probably just a revised edition to fit more bikes going forward.
Couldn't find a part# on the fiche that I checked, though.
Drop a dime on the local dealer. They're usually happy to help
with info like that.

Yep, its a new/improved part with a different Part #

It also proves the bike I just bought really had been sitting in a shed for over 5 years!
