Well, you have some options if your good with mechanical and electronical things. The CB900 Standard bike still has the Same 919 engine as the 900RR, but you'd have to check where it mounts inside the frame, if they are the same mounts. You could always custom something up if your determined enough.

Then, you have E-bay. You could try to find a whole 900RRengine with low miles from a wrecked bike. Try to get one thathas the whole case intact, low-er miles, and not too terribly rashed. You have all the supporting pieces like the radiator, ECU, carbs, etc... so if they are missing those it wouldn't matter.

Lastly, you could by replacement parts for the motor (preferable all new bearing for all 4 cylinders), have the crank checked for damage and machined appropriately, and rebuild. It would be a good opportunity to fix any things on the way up.

Important Questions: how did the motor sound when you threw the bearing? Did it perform any different? What oil were you using, and finally the mileage please. It's important to me because my engine is making a weird noise after I had it run on a Dyno, and I need some answers to deduce possibilities.

CBRWarrior, I'll answer your questions for him. The motor sounded aweful, the bearing wasn't spun, it was thrown, we dug it outa the oil pan in chunks. Other than a horrifying noise, there wasn't a terrible power loss, but it was only run for a couple minutes after the sound started. Oil is Mobile 4T, mileage unknown, it's a 98 engine in a 95 frame swapped by a big retard. The weird part is, no reason the engine should have gone, it's clean as a whistle inside, and has great oil flow to #3 that blew, and even held pressure with no bearing in there. From what I've heard on this forum, when your engine starts rattling or knocking, check your cam chain tensioner first, guess they go bad alot.
