Haha, I live on the opposite coast, in Pennsylvania. Thanks tho.

I'm going to get a fan switch for it today. Some nice weather coming up, so it gets the switch and an oil change.

1.) more question, I apologize I am not familiar with this bike yet. The bike is very clunky in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Most annoying issue is shifting from second to first coming to a stop, where it resists the shift and sometimes grinds. Tied for most annoying is shifting from neutral to first getting ready to leave the stop, the initial shift into first is met by a small grind and a jerk.

Am I right to assume this might indicate too much chain slack? I also need to switch to Synth too, but the jerk reminds me of allowing the front sprocket too much movement when gear is engaged. Clutch feels great, holds strong, and is immediately responsive when I check it in all gears.

Ya, we'll see, I got the oil for the change a little bit ago, it gets the change sometime soon.

I think my forks are bent and tweakedtoo now, but oh well, I put 500 miles on it and it hasn't bothered me, so I'll ride it till the engine quits. I could also be basing my vision off of bent plastics, but it looks like the tire is closer to one side of plastics than the other.

Hey, Does anyone know if most parts from the 929 and 954 will fit the 98 CBR900? I'm not finding alot of stuff for the 900, but I see the same parts listed for the 929's and 954's. I'm specifically looking at clutch/brake levers and a Crash kit frame, swingarm and bar end sliders. Does anyone know of cheap OEM fit shorty levers, or even where to find a site with a plethora of 900RR parts?

The Honda gearbox clunk comes standard...lol seriously, all of them have it. I don't know about current models, what with slipper clutches and what-not, but it's just the nature of the beast.

And if there were a place with a 'plethora of 900RR parts', I'd be all over it. It took me a year of ebay hunting to get the goods to restore my bike...more patience equals less money, I think. And there's precious little, if anything, that interchanges from the 929/954. I promise you'll just be disappointed/frustrated/annoyed unless you're a competent fabricator with a shop full of tools...

Ya, I guess I will be E-bay hunting. My current priority will be getting the motor up to 100% now. It's not in bad shape, but I know the A/F mixture is rich, so I need to have the bike thrown on a dyno and given a quick little spin and tune. I commute in low RPM's, between 2.5k and 5k, and the bike bogs a bit until 4k RPM's, but when I get it above 8k RPM's it's like I hit NOS. The front end picks up even if I'm tucked in...kinda sweet but scary the first few times...
