Default New 93 900RR Owner in AZ

Hey All,

Just purchased a 93 900RR with 24k on the dial, ill be picking it up tomorrow. Shes in decent shape for an older model. Ive been riding bikes since before i was a kid. Ive been without a bike for about 5 year now and now ive decided to jump back into it. Ive had FZR's, GSXR's but never a Honda. No pics yet that i can upload while at work. Looking forward to a learning all i can as i usually do most work(cept engine) myself. Thanks for the wealth of info ive found so far.

Ill post this question inh the correct section later but i thought while im here ill put in here as wel.

With a 93 model is there anything this years model is prone too?

welcome back to 2 wheels, and to the cbrforum.
i'm not aware of any chronic issues with the 900, but then i haven't had one -- probably get more precise input from the 900 section.

welcome to cbrf and congrats on the blade. it's a badass bike. as far as any issues - the only thing i can really think of is that one of the cylinders' main or rod bearings fail when people ride long wheelies because of the design of the oil galleys. so as long as it hasn't been abused, i'm sure you're good to go. i don't even think it was a common issue - just something i read somewhere long ago. and besides, as soon as you start the bike up - you'll know if it has a knock or not. i'm sure you're good to go.

can't wait to see you on the forum

Welcome to the CBR Forum Tac2cul.

Yes, the 900rr is a lovely bike, always wanted one in my yoof, but got a TL1000S instead Do post photos of your bike when you can. And having ridden GSX-Rs, let us know your impressions of the difference between then and the 900rr after a ride or two.

Cheers, SB
