Does anybody know where I can get an engine kit for my 893. If posible I would like to upgrade to more cc'swith a stroker kit or simply a bigger bore. When I bought my bike it had a small knock and since I had never had a 900 I did'nt know if it was normal. It does'nt knock at idle or when you rev it, it only knocks under extreme pressure like an exhaust leak so I thought I should just go thruogh the engine and check everything. Thanks Johnny

 

My 919 has a "knock" under excelleration at mid RPM. Won't do it free revving, or at high RPM.
I also have been unsure as to what it is and what to do about it. I am wondering if its like the old timing chain noise off the F1's, just something to get used to?

 

mine was doin the same and it was number 2 rod bearing. I wouldn't drive it any more and you can check if there is any play by just removing the oil pan and attempting to wiggle the rods there should be no play in them

i have 945cc piston kits and 997cc piston kits for that motor.the 945cc piston kits only need boring of your block.thew 997cc kits need sleeves installed .any questions you need i can answer for you.i havew a cbr 900 bored and stroked to an 1126 with full head work and titanium valves as big as you can get. i also have valves ,cranks ,rods etc for that motor. if any questions email me at
