Default Junk in the Trunk

Probably pretty **** but I figure if anyone would care , you guys here might undertand my demensia so anyway....

I spent some time tweaking my trunk , which is one of the things I still love about the RR.

I cut out all the dividers and stuff to get back maximum floor space. Then I rubberized the whole inside for sound deadening . Then I upholstered it with automotive carpet on the floor. And lastly I replaced the rubber tool kit hold down strap (that I actually lost some time ago) with a strap I made using some bungy cord and 'D' rings all color matched to the bike. And of course put a nice semi-gloss paint job down on the inside of the seat cowl.

Have I gone to far ?

I removed the plastic "U-Lock" channels just becuz they wuz useless. But you, Sir, have taken it to a whole new level

Doesnt the rubber and carpeting take away available space?

Thinking about a Targa Solo Cover to increase the volume, but never saw one to know if it allows that.

Nah. I actually shot the rubber thinking it would keep stuff from sliding around, it goes on with a spray can so it's just a layer of paint or so. Then I realized I had some of this carpet laying around. It's probably 1/4" tall tops and really adds that finished touch. Im thinking now that I'm going to add an LED trunk light in there next along with a USB socket to charge a phone.

My solo cover is some off brand from years ago. It's a molded ABS piece, maybe 1/8"- 3/16" I think of material and hollow inside so its adds a good 2" of height.

I knew you guys would understand. I was like hey honey , come look at what I did inside the trunk , and she just gives me that look....you know that look ?
