Default Junk in the Trunk?

I just installed an alarm, and now my tail section is even more useless than it already was. Do any of your bikes look like this now? I didn't want to install the unit back there, but I couldn't find a more suitable place where it would not get too much heat. I guess this is why I have a back pack and a removable storage pack.

That's what mine looked like. Now that I have the 1KRR without the undertail exhaust the trunk seems HUGE.

I guess it just frustrates me a little that I can't make it look any nicer. It would be slightly better if I could get rid of those necessary resistor packs for the new gen Rizoma lights. Maybe that is the next thing to go.

I have two HID ballasts in my RRs "trunk" along with the battery tender quick disconnect. Don't ask why the ballasts are all the way back there...prior owner had them them...wired up with 22awg wire non the less. I don't know much about the HID system, but I figured it was working so I would leave the ballasts back there, but I changed the wires out to 12 and 14 awg.

Wow, 22 is pretty thin for that usage and distance. You did the right thing by changing it out. I like bikes more than cars, but I still prefer working on cars comparatively. There just isn't much room to place goodies on sport bikes, and I am not a fan of hacking stuff to make it fit.
