Default I think i messed up bad

I just purchased a jet kit for my 99 CBR 900RR but when i got it and looked at it in detail it states that the kit is for a 97. Please someone tell me if this kit will work in my 99 or have i just purchased a damn pink elephant.[:'(]

Hi:

I'm 99% sure that kit will work with your carbs. Did you just get some jets or did you get the needles as well?

It'll work. The carbs are identical through the years. The only differences is that the pre-919 bikes had smaller jets (115s or 118s, staggered?). I don't remember their sizes off hand. The other difference is the earlier carbs had different length slide springs. Keep your stock springs in the carbs.

As for the jets being smaller, the size refers to the orifice in the jets, not the threading or outside diameter of the jet. The jets' sizes will be labeled on the side. Stock for the '98/'99 is 120 in all four carbs.
