Default How Imp is 16k servicing

Wat say guys? How imp is this 16k servicing...I bought one 1999 RR 900cc and its 16k servicing is pending,.the bike runs great..no yanky sounds..ya but I do felt that it needs valve tunning...

I think the servicing will include - valve clearance, replacing spark plugs, oil change ....

Wat else I should be taking care?

In all honesty.........I dont do it anymore. Check the valves but after the first break in service I've never seen any of mine out of tolerance or even out of the sweet spot for that matter so I dont bother with taking it in.
Even plugs and what not.........doesnt really need to be done unless you are experiencing problems. I guess I would change the filter, change oil if necessary, change plugs if you feel like it. Other than that........that's a basic tune up. Synch the carbs wouldn't be too bad of an idea. As for the valves though........after the initial check at break in though they rarely actually move......in my experience anyway.

Oh and of course.....I guess I take this for granted, but check the wheel bearings, steering head bearings, chain/sprockets etc. Basic maint as far as I'm concerned and done more often than 16k but still...........give them a look.
