I'm considering selling my '86 gsxr1100 and buying a friend's 1993 cbr900rr. The cbr is in immaculate condition, and very well maintained, but has over 50k miles on it. Should that be a concern? How long do these things last? He mentioned trying to get $4k for it, which sounds high to me, so I was thinking of offering $3k. Sound reasonable?

If it is perfect.....4 might not be out of the question, however it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. In the spring he could probably get 4 from it if he waited. 3 is fair from your stand point. I've heard of CBR's with over 100k and still running strong so, I dont think I would worry too much about the mileage if it runs good. Take it for a spin and see what it's like. Sounds like a nice bike.
