I have had my 929 since late august and have put 1k miles on it. The bike has a total of 24, 500 miles and to me seems to run strong. How many other bikes out there has at least 20k miles and are still going strong? Will these bikes reach 50k? Has anyone tried rebuilding the motor?

 

yeah they last long as long as u keep up with maitenence

 

I have 35K mostly hard miles on mine and it still pulls like a freight train

 

24k is high mileage?? WTF starts these rumors??? lol

24k just shows its riden and not just sitting in a garage some place. My 00 F4 has 50k on it n runs strong!!!

 

my old fzr600 had 40K on it...my buddies fzr1000 has 130K on it...just ride it and maintain it...now if ya ever go to sell it ya wont get **** for it...so keep it and ride it

1k miles in over a year ? you need to move to an area that lets you ride more. i put easily 500+ miles a month and thats without going to nice long rides on the weekend.

normal upkeep and you'll be good.

 

i think you misread my post, 1k miles since last august so over 1k miles in 2 months since october isn't over yet...

 

my appologies then haha im so used to hearing people on here say that they are storing their bikes for winter and i ride year round... you'll love the 929 dont worry
