Default front forks - stock or upgrade

I'm looking to replace my stock forks on my '99. The dials are ground off so they offer no set-up options. I've found some stock ebay options, but then I started thinking about upgrade possibilities. Whats out there for performance upgrade? Any suggestions, places I should look, read about etc?
Worth upgrading? Any input and thoughts, do's-dont's? Thanks!!!

you could get some stock forks and put aftermarket springs and valves in them. thats what i'm thinking about doing.

if you go to race-tech you can find some sweet ****. they have this cool custom fork spring calculator you can use.

you could also try the Ohlins website. they have a recommendation list for the 900rr. so check that out.

i'm not sure how much of a difference you'll notice if you're just gonna be cruising around town, so stock forks might be your best bet. but whatever floats your boat.

hope this helps.

Cool! Hey thanks for the link and advice. I just didn't know if there was anything like stock, mid-performance to all out pro set ups on this stuff. Yeah, maybe just going with stocks for now and upgrading the internals down the road is the way to go.
Thanks again!

There are some little adjustments you can do as well such as adding one or two table spoons more oil in the forks to slow the compression down near the end of the strock also you could change the weight of oil that you are currently using to something thicker or thinner. These are just a couple of things you can do to your stock forks and it is cheap to do.
