I'm gonna get crap for this.
Ok, so I've owned my 93cbr900 that I've swapped in a 919 from a 98cbr for about a year now. It still scares the holly crap out of me, (I'm getting old and now have this thing called fear, don't laugh it will happen to you all), but I love the bike. Just the other weekend I bought a 81 Kawaski kz440 (non-LTD). Picked it up for a friend of mine coming back from out of the country, it only cost $200. Got the thing running for the price of a battery and a couple of plugs. That little thing is a blast. I mean an absolute blast. I've been bouncing around the yard and up and down the street, (still in need of some lighting issues).
So I've got to know, is it wrong to like the little KZ more than my CBR? If it is, I'll get rid of that thing as fast as I can. But can a guy love more than one motorcycle? My friend (who the KZ is for) is going to have to pry me off of that little thing.
I just don't want to cheat on my CBR.

The swap was easy, only now I shift backwards and my temp gauge doesn't work. You either have to use the 93 control module and carbs (no throttle possition input on the 93) or have the instrument cluster from the 98 and use the 98 harness, carbs, control module.
The swap was due to no other options, I really never got to ride the bike much before the change out. But I like it. I like it alot. It scoots just fine enough for me. Though I have been told that the 893 motor, 93-95 had more punch. I don't know, just some guy talking at a shop, so how knows.
Oh you do have to shim some on the right upper frame to motor mounting point, not much less than 1/2 inch.
Cool thing is the exhaust even swaps.
