I also noticed that the battery conector with the 30amp fuse that goes to the starter from the reg/rec is also fragged. Anyone got a wiring harness for sale? and how do I test the reg/rec to see if it's bad?

Did you just cut out the bad wires and get new ones? How can I tell if it was just bad grounding or if the reg/req is fried.

There was just a post about that yesterday, I tossed up a link w/ a trouble shooting chart, should still be near the top.

I just say a wiring harness on evil bay yesterday, might still be there. Looked like it was going to go cheap.

Stynk! just 1 word of warning. if your changing he loom be careful you get the same country spec. i have a 94 us model and it now has a UK 93 spec. had to change the light switch as well. US models dont have the option of turning the lights off when running, UK models do. i found out by mistake.

I think I might try and just replace the fried wires instead. It seems to just be the yellow ones going to the reg/rec which should be simple to replace and install a new connector. (I hope)

On another topic I was walking around my local autozone just looking around and found a $4 inline fuel filter that looks about the same as the $20 OEM one. I'm wondering if there's any problems with using that filter instead of the factory spec one. What's the worst that can happen?
