Hot Hesitation Problem

Hot Hesitation Problem
I have a 99 F4 that has a problem when it gets hot, once it gets up to temp and the fan comes on it has a problem getting going from a stop. It idles right down and when I start to go it gets all jerky through 2-3000 rpm and after that it doesn't seem to do it as bad. I was told it could be the charging system but tested that and all seems to check out fine. Could this be a carb problem? I'm just not sure because it really only does it when hot. Thanks Dan

Could go in two basic directions.
One...check the regulator/rectifier (r/r), look for heat-sign-warped plastic/melted
insulation, etc. on the r/r and the connector.
Two...check the coolant system, flush/replace the coolant, check/replace the pressure
cap, checl for leaks and/or low coolant levels.
First, re-check the electrical/charging system (here's a link for complete diagnostics...
Charging System Diagnostics - Rectifier/Regulator Upgrade - Triumph Forum: Triumph Rat Motorcycle Forums).
If that doesn't pan out then do the complete coolant maintenance. Even if these
aren't the problem, you'll still have done valuable maintenance. AND eliminated them
as the source.
Try these tips first and get back if it doesn't solve the problem.
