Default has anyone had this problem?

i have been having some trouble when i start my bike when it's cold(the bike not the weather). i'm not sure ,but i thought that the bike would start easier w/the choke on but i havent been able to start the bike w/the choke on at all the past month or so. so i wasnt sure if anyone else has had the same problem. i can get the bike started but it takes 4 or 5 tries, i give it some throttle then try the choke then push the choke back down and crank it 3 or 4 times then it starts. i just swaped out the fuel pump w/my other bike but it does the same thing. any ideas????? i'm stumped!!! i'm not sure if this would have anything to do w/it but i have just replaced my voltage regulator and this started right after i did this. seems like everything always happens at once.

I've always pulled the choke, then hit the starter. Not the other way round. Not sure why, something to do with changing the mixture before starting helps it work better, IDK. I've assumed that was the way it was designed to work.

Kind of sounds like some fouled plugs, but really just a guess. Know what your talking about "everything happens once." No matter how reliable a bike is, if a couple things go wrong at the same time I want to drag it into the street and set it on fire.

How does the bike run? When you have to give some throttle before it can start indicates of fuel starvation. Check out the plugs too.

Those break up could be a sign of fuel starvation too. Check out the jets. I might be wrong all way but its worth trying.
