getting ready for new race season project
Well this is what I ended up with today. It has not been polished or clear coated. except for the front fender. still have to print and attach sponsor logos and also the little honda wing stickers I got for the tank. I just finished the clear coating this late afternoon and will let it dry before polishing. Looks better in person than the pic.
Well after much thought and stress I thought I would turn the creamsicle into something a little less boring. I put 42ft of red pinstripe to outline the color breaks. I also resanded everything with 1000grit wet/dry then polished, buffed and re clearcoated. Then I got a call from my buddy after I texted him the pics...uhhh jim the honda sticker on the tank is backwards!...
.
whatever. Still gotta pull the rear wheel and repaint it. Tune up/oil change and carbs to do still. I also gotta print my sponsor logo's and attach them. This is going to be 1 unique RR.
not very happy with the material I printed them on but they will do for now..by the way FALCO race gear distributed by www.advancedmotorcyclegear.com Is the best quality!!!

WOW!!! new jet kit with new needles and 124 mains. Sync'd the carbs changed the plugs and oil. Super unleaded with 108 octane boost and it was ready for a test run. I live on the edge of city limits..most of us have an acre or so...the bike is not street legal so I took it down the road with about 1/2 mile no houses..1st gear only..HOLY MOLY!!! this is a completely different bike! I was hoping for race school on april 21st but the guy running the program is just doing another track day..so I will see how it goes. There is no popping..no stumble..instant response. weather forcast for portland,or is 30% chance of showers..no rain please!!!
My goal for the day is 165mph at the end of the straightaway. Will work hard on coming out of turn 9 on the right line.
