Try it and at least you can drive it while you get the pump if you don't fill confident, and rpmcycle is a good place to purchase from ebay. I purchased alot of parts from him. Johnny

 

I removed the fuel pump on mine as well. Ended up that the fuel pump was fine, but the fuel cut relay is what died. I just bypassed the whole thing, ran a line straight from the petcock to the carbs -itstarts, revs, runs fine. Just be sure to keep at least 1 gallon of gas in the tank for the gravity feed to always work.
I also have the petcock offmy old tank I'll sell you if your still looking for one. My bike is a '94 as well, all parts will match up.

did this work for you, i am facing a simular situation, swapping a 93 petcock with a gravity fed 97 petcock to eliminate fuel pump on 1993, can this be done please let me know what you think and if so what will need to be done where do the vaccume lines go

 

i have a 93 and my fuel pump just went out like 2 weeks ago so i just took it out and it runs great! i already have jetted carbs. and it runs great. it dosent starve out at top end also. ive had mine up there and it didnt starve out.
