Default Fuel lines

Hi guys, ordered some new bits and pieces for my first blade:
- subframe bolt - (was missing!)
- fuel tank rubber bungs (both sides missing!)

fitted them this evening, but it all turned into a bit of a nightmare!!!

Undid the tank and lifted it up to access the subframe bolt. In my wisdom I figured there was no need to disconnect the entire fuel tank as I could get access simply by sliding it to one side.... ohhhh noooo!! It slid straight off the side of the bike, ripping out the hoses as pissing fuel all over!!

Anyway, after saving and retrieving the tank, I took this opportunity to properly access and securely fit the subframe bolt and check the others.

Now to refit the tank.... pretty much figured out where all the hoses went, all but one... it’s a narrow pipe (about 5mm diameter) and looks to come from the bulkhead. Not entirely sure where it goes as it’s only about 10cm in length. There looked to be 2 free nipples on the carbs? But also a free nipple on the side of the fuel tap (main line from fuel tap was wider and went to a t-piece and into the carbs.)
I figured this line went to the side nipple on the fuel tap? But it was a VERY tight fit. It only just reached.
Took bike for a spin, then it ran out of fuel 2 miles from home!!! This pipe had disconnected!!
i reattached it, but couldn’t get the bike running again (a fun walk back in the dark!!)

could anyone shed shed any light on the location of all the hoses for me please. Can’t seen to find any decent diagrams. (I’ll get some photos tomorrow when it’s light, but I have got a diagram I’ll attach)
I THINK the pipe is marked as No. 25 on the diagram. IF that hose goes to the bulkhead?

hope this makes some kind of sense...
Cheers Guys.

The other end goes to item number 6 in the diagram above. That is the vacuum line that actuates the diaphragm allowing fuel to pass through the petcock.

Thanks. I managed to figure it all out in the end. Checked the petcock and found no fuel to be flowing, thought that was the issue, but read about the vacuum line operating it.
That was the reason the bike stopped as the vacuum pipe had come off, causing the carbs to be starved of fuel.
Reconnected and was unable to restart as was opening the throttle thinking it would allow fuel through, but was in fact doing the opposite! “Doh!”

Got bike all back together and started up on full choke and no throttle after about 30 seconds... bingo!

Since this is the CBR900 forum and you're asking about a CBR600, I'd recommend posting into the CBR600 F2 forum. The F2 does in fact have (or should have) a fuel pump. You can see the layout here. Some of the hoses are vents and spill drain and then naturally a fuel line from the petcock. Post some pictures too as that helps a great deal in understanding what you're working with.
