Any ideas about improving the factory footpegs? Cant figure how to remove the rubber pads to replace them with something better.

 

Hi rusted root - don't expect a very speedy response as the 900 forum doesn't seem to get a great deal of traffic. I bought my 1993 model second hand and the footpegs had already been swapped out. Have you tried a Haynes manual? They have all the answers in easy to follow sections.

 

Thx '06. I have the Clymer manual, and it doesnt show any detail. Also looking at the Handa parts manual shows it as one piece. Im assuming the rubber is glued on?

 

You just want to replace the rubber pads?

Be easier to replace the whole peg with a metal/teeth or nurled peg. Pretty cheap and easy.

 

Yeah, I was thinking cheap. The only option currently available are some pegs made by a company called Emgo. Unless the model years all match specs, maybe you have another brand to consider?

 

Check Ebay , should be tons. Think I paid $10/15 or something.
