hi there so i am in need of a steering damper. i have been looking at the sprint pro race ones and have found a few for sale. however i have noticed you can get a steering damper on its own the buy a fitting kit much cheaper than buying them both together. but none of the full kits tell you the stroke of the steering damper is so was wondering if anyone on here knows what stroke i need cheers my bike is a 1999 cbr 900 rrx cheers

 

Depends on where you mount it and the relationship between it and the mounting points. Basically the closer to the center of rotation of the steering geometry the shorter the stroke. The farther out you get the more stroke you will need.
