Default Cooling system question

I'm in the process of installing a 99 919 motor in my 96 900rr, the waterpump on the 99 motor has a hose connection for a bypass hose but the manual doesn't show where the hose would connect to on the engine, the 96 waterpump doesn't have this connection at all for a bypass hose. Could I just put a short hose on it and plug it or would that create a cooling problem?

Not a definite answer for you, but do you think the bypass hose could go to the radiator? Take a look at the radiator to see if there is a small stub connection for a small hose. That's all I can think it is there for. Good luck and let's hope someone else on the forum can help you!

the hose at 12 o'clock leads to the thermostat housing. the hose at 5 o'clock leads to the oil cooler and the hose at 7 o'clock leads to the radiator

Thanks for the pics, the pic showing the bypass hose (12 o'clock ) is the one I was really confused on, I had to order all the plumbing that is mounted in the back of the motor, of course the bypass hose is now discontinued but I'll have to make one. Thanks for all ur help, I'll send u pics when it's running.
