Default Camchain tensioner blade no longer available ... ?

Referring to this diagram, part 4 (14510-MW0-000) ... https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts...chaintensioner ... Apparently this part is no longer available. You can get the part 5 (14510-MAS-000) which is from the 918cc engine (mine's an 893cc) but Fowlers says that this part (5) does not supercede 4 so they couldn't say that it will fit. Without having both in my hand to compare I c an't say either way, BUT ..... I can't see why 5 shouldn't fit.

Anyone else had this problem? (And no, I can't reuse my tensioner, the surface is starting to break up). Anyone else used the later part on an early bike?

Thanks.

Good luck with the hunt, might be worth giving them a ring to see if it is compatible?

My bad..., thought you were just looking at the diagram and had not actually spoken to them.

Thanks. Forgot to say I'm in the UK so I'll watch this. Really want to know if the later one fits though.

No worries, unfortunately can't help with that one
Might this be a candidate for 3D printing? Not sure about the heat tho.
