Default 99 RR Problem

Hello All. New to the forums here, but already got some good info. I have a 99 RR, and it sat for awhile and I assumed the carbs got gummed up. (Had the problem a long time ago) It was the same symptoms, hard to start, rough idle, and backfired. So I cleaned the carbs and reinstalled everything. It started up but is now bellowing white smoke out of the exhaust and smells like it's running really rich. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Maybe dump the oil gas and put in fresh gas, and run some "SeaFoam" through the new gas.

Check your sparkplugs and see if they're still good.

Make sure your radiator is good, no leaks and nothing is leaking into your oil.

Change the engine oil, too maybe.

The worst case scenario can be your engine oil is leaking to your combustion chamber. However do up all the necessary maintenance routine like changing plugs, engine oil to eliminate any simple factor. Does the smoke bellowing all the way while you ride or just during warm up?

also how long did u run it for while it was smokin? Carb cleaner could make it blow some smoke for a minute or two until u open it up. Is the bike running smooth?
