why is it harder??
design.
Race bikes are design trying to keep the front end down so you are fighting with the design of the bike. You need more torque to make it easier. Talk to the guys in the stunter's section, I'm sure they can help you out in this area better than I can.
If wheelies are your thing, change the gearing. The -1+2 seems to be the choice. I know I had a lot more torque off the line with my -1 and -2 up front, but going smaller in the front also gives you a longer wheel base with the same chain.

it is something that i would like to add to my arsenal one day but i am afraid to change up my sprockets cause when i am cruising the highway at 80-90mph it is already turnin a high enough RPM i don't know if i could handle even more.
it will come up...you just need to get to the power band and time it right...
also...the RR has a longer swingarm to keep the bike planted for the track ya know...so not too good for wheelies.

exelent wheelie bike if you change the sprockest to -1/+2, you will loose a couple miles per gallon and highway riding will be at a noticable higher rpm took me a while to get used to but even with all my mods i got 37 mpg
