Visiting Friends- Too far to ride?

RE: Visiting Friends- Too far to ride?
I have done all day rides in NC from the city to the mountains and back starting at 9am and returning at 5pm. We stop for about 5 to 10 minutes at a time every few hours and stop signs.
I am planning a 680 mile ride from NC to NY. 180 miles of it on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
You will be fine!!!

There are these cruise control things (cant remember exactly) for the grip and get a tank bag and stuff it full of t-shirts or something. will make a great rest for the long trip and the cruise-control thing will make it easy on the wrists. At that point i think it would just be a matter of stopping and stretching for 15 minutes at every pit stop. See about getting a sissy-bar for your bike and some saddle bags as well, anything to keep stuff off your back to help minimize fatigue (and keep you cool). These are all things i will be getting for mine in the very near future, i have a friend who lives in GA and i live in S. FL heh.

Quick Question.
Last winter I purchased a 2 piece suit (non-leather) and it will be way too hot for my next trip. Anyone know of a full mesch suit one piece? Or are the leather suits with all of the perforation comfortable for long distances? Seems they would be really hot!

Thanks for all the replys fellas- I sounds like I was concerned for nothing- I rode the other night for almost an hour and half at around 75 stead to see how bad it would be (circled the city on highway) and it wasnt too bad at all- I can see where a soft pad or bag w/ shirts would help cuz the chest got a lil uncomfortable from the tank, but all in all i can say it'll be a good cruise- Thank again!
