Default two tubes next to the sidestand

I noticed that there are two tubes next to the sidestand. Is this on all bikes? What are these tubes for? I just got my bike yesterday so i'm pretty new at this stuff.

Help is appreciated

i have a 1000 rr and if what im thinking is what u r talking about ( is it the short rubber tube sext to the stand right??) its to let the extra fuel that fall inside tip of ur fuel tank...( if u open ur gas tank u will find space at the top of the tank if any fuel by mistake fill inside that space that rubber tube let it out automaticaly ) happend to me once thats how i know .. when i was filling up my bike..

thats just my opinion.. thanx

They are overflow hoses. One is for the antifreeze overflow, the other is for the fuel overflow (or so the shop manual says).

All bikes have them, but they're in different places depending on year, make and model.

The two that are coming "down" from under the tank that are the same size are the fuel tank overflow & fuel tank vent hoses.
Then there is a smaller diameter hose that is routed under the side cover and exits in the same general area, that's the radiator overflow.

yeah thanks,

I was worried for a bit thinking that I might have popped out some tube while trying to shift.

I thought they were catheter hook-ups for long trips.

My catheder tube comes out right in front of the rear tire. That way I can burn the **** outa' my tire at red lights, real easy. No pun intended.
