so my cane is about to be fully functional agian, the spring i had was missing so i got a new one my hayes manual doesnt have a decent pic of it what side/ where does the spring attach. please help the nice wether is killing me!

 

When the stand is down the top of the spring just hooks straight up by where it pivots i think!
