depends on he way it's ridden. for an easy going commuter, it should last a VERY VERY long time. however someone who tears up canyon roads or otherwise beats the crap out of the bike... the chain WONT last long...

I have about 7000 miles on my '06 and I've only adjusted my chain once so far for slank. Really that was only because I replaced the rear tire. Based on the play on I have my current chain, I would think I could get at least another 7,000 miles (i.e. another riding season) out of it before I need to replace it. Just to give you an idea, I bought my '06 on Mar 9th of this year and I'm still riding, whoa

I was also commuting 3-4 days a week during the summer.

I had my 06 CBR since april and it was stolen within 2 weeks. waited like 3 months for insurance to pay out to get me a new bike. Just manage to rack up 2700miles in the last month. been looking at renthal spockets and tsubaki chains. Just want it for the bling factor. I thought it be a shame to get rid of the stock chain and spocket if its still have alot of miles on it.

if you want blind stuff get a car. my personal opinion on sprocket and chain changes should be..for a racer, or for a guy who wants to do wheelies easier. other wise dont waste you money.. i need chain wont make panties drop..

Bling only for cars??? I know here in Florida just about every Busa is hooked up for bling and speed. You know some people would rather get some azz rather than get some speed no matter if it is car or bike.

just wanted that Renthal orange rear spocket and a gold chain. looks sweet. Well dont know if its bling but the sea of traffic in the morning parts for me with my orange nose slicing through traffic. Its great. Not going anywhere quick or pulling wheelies just want tarffic cages to be even more envy at me as a cruise past them in the morning rush.
