Steering damper
Yes I know that. If my legs were 2 inches longer, I would not have done it. Should I not gotten 600RR because of my physical handicap? not sure. But I will not going to be riding on the track or aggressive like most riders are. I don't go around the turns fast. I just love motorcycle and I just enjoy the way I can. I have not complained about how my bike handles. My bike handles my riding very well. I was just wondering about the Steering Damper because people around me have older bike and they have it and they said it helps on handling. I thought if that will help the safety, but now I know my bike has it and I don't need it.
Yeah. But he wanted one because he knows nothing about the motorcycle he's on. He wanted one to tack on another "mod" to the list on his sig. RACERS disable the street-savvy HESD for something more practical for the track. I disagree with the "inconsistent" statement. Like I said, they're practical for road use, not race use.

Anyways, what I meant is that even though the force given out by the HESD is linear based on our speed, its still not going to give you max force at those lower speeds. Compared to a aftermarket one that gives you the same feel every time.
I know how the HESD works boss, I has one! Haha. I could have sworn you said it was based off of throttle, which I translated as vehicle speed, because then we're just splitting hairs haha. But yes, the fast ya go, the stiffer it gets, you got it.
Again, I politely disagree. Stunting is not road use. That's not what the bike was intended for, therefore not what the HESD unit was designed for. The HESD unit comes in handy on the highway's sweeping corners/merge ramps, or down in the twisties where you need it.
Lastly, I guess it's personal preference or however you use the bike (stunting, etc.), but I can't see the appeal in having an aftermarket damper that gives you harsh steering force at low speeds, you know? Rider preference I guess!
PS- sincalirider, you're looking a bit low on post count, can you transfer counts from RR.net over to here?
