replace air filter, re-map?
I'm planning to replace my air filter w/ a K&N. Since I will expect more air, should I re-map the fuel injectors? If so, how do I do it? Looked through the service manual and not able to find anything. I've read I could purchase a fuel processor but looks like those things run $150+. Is there a way to adjust w/o the additional expensive purchase?
If it get's too complicated I'm thinking of just sticking to a $30 oem replacement and leaving everything as is. (The K&Ns will run about $80.)
Any advice/recommendations or page numbers on the manual would be appreciated!
Thanks guys.
... I haven't rode my bike or been on here in years. trying to get my bike back up after sitting outside for the last 2 years.

If you don't have a power commander or Juice Box or any aftermarket device that allows you to adjust the air fuel mixture then no you can not remap the bike. A stock bike will not allow you to remap anything. To get the absolute most power out of your bike you will need to remap it after you replace the filter but to be honest if it was me replacing the filter I would not worry about. I would just drop the filter in and go.
