I was going to purchase an alum set for 200 bux it was a 9' ramp that folded to 4 foot carry but i had a friend that already had a set for an ATV .So i would ask around to see if anyone you know has a set.Unless you are going to do alot of transporting of your bike.I called the local dealerships most can get a ramp for ya the next day or two.

I found this in searching around.

http://www.discountramps.com/folding...cycle_ramp.htm

How difficult to get a 600 RR up a 12 inch wide ramp like this??? Almost seems like you'd have to have 2 people to keep the bike steady??? Never done it before.

What ya think?

I don't know what kinda truck you have but I have an 03 Dodge Ram 4X4 and loading my bike into the bed is a huge pain. If you can find a berm or something with a good slope it is alitte easier but still scary. I went and bought a trailer, granted it costs more than ramps but dropn this beauty wouldn't be cheap either.

I just back my truck into a ditch, (at my house) and use a 2x12 to clear the gap...usually only a foot or so, and just ride my rr up the ramp...kinda scary the first couple of times, but i got used to it in a hurry...lol

when i went to go pick up my bike...i just backed the truck bed up to a hill (or some sort of landscape around) the same height as the bed and rolled the bike onto the back of the truck. very similar to dreamer25's rolling into a ditch thing (which was my alternative method if i couldn't find a level plane to use). worked really well for me b/c i was fortunate enough to find a good spot.

but a ramp would be good if you're planning on transporting your bike a lot. i just didn't figure it was worth buying one just to use it once. just my .02 though
