Default Problem with my 600 RR

If any one knows their way around a 2003 CBR600RR.... PLEASE HELP ME OUT...... Okay, heres the problem: I bought this 2003 CBR, had it for a few weeks, then slid out and dropped it. The damage was not major, Messed the stator cover up and some plastics. So I buy the stator cover and replace it myself... Should I have done this??? Cause now the bike wont stay on. It turns on, but to keep it on I have to rev it up, and keep it above 1000 rpm myself. Other wise it keeps dying. What I did exactly is I pulled the stator cover off, pulled off the generator (I believe thats what it is called. The peice that bolts to the stator cover underneath.) and also pulled off this peice, not sure what it is called but its right next to stator, and has a couple of hoses going into it, it runs coolant through. I pulled it off thinking I would need it for clearance. Maybe I shouldn't have done that either. I know that peice had like a slot that fit into something inside... And I am like 99% sure that it went in, but then again, I am no expert.... So What the hells going on?? any ideas... For a little back ground on the bike.... I changed the battery like a week ago, every thing seemed fine, but I only took it out 1 time. It has had the same gas in it for a while, dont know exactly how long. The gauge is saying something about FI???? I am not familiar at all, I dont have a hand book. But anyways, it comes on at like 150 degrees, and when the bike cools off, nothing is on the read out. Any IDEAS PLEASE!!! HELP A NEW CBR GUY OUT!!! Also any one know where I can down load a pdf on the handbook or something that may help me???

You mention having to keep it above 1k/rpms yourself, when the bike should idle just a tad above that. So i am wondering when you crashed did you mess up the idle adjust? Just a thought cause it should be idling around 1200-1500......

The bike was fine after the slide, it ran fine. The stator cover was all scratched up so I just figured I would switch it out. But the bike ran fine.... The only things that changed since where the Battery, the Stator cover and whatever the hells right next to the stator cover that runs coolant throught the bike...... Its like the motor just isn't getting something???? BUT WHAT????? Jesus christ of ladder day saints..... I dont know what the problem is...

idle adjust is on the left side of the bike, above the shift lever. It looks like a star attached to a black tube and should be clipped to the hose running to the water pump and the vent hoses running to the bottom of the bike. This isn't a great picture but you get the idea, the arrow pointing to the throttle stop screw is the idle adjust.

Thanks to you guys I figured it out.... It was the throttle adjustment..... Turned the bike on, waited for it to get warmed up.... then the bike started dropping in rpm......... twisted that little thing, and rpms came up and now it is idling at about 1400 rpms. I was messing with that thing when I changed out the stator cover......... oops.........Anyways dudes you all are the greatest, LOVE YOU ALL!!!!
