My local bikeshop said it's completely standard, apart from the Scorpion can. I'm not sure what the tyres are, I'll find out soon enough and let you know.

Yeah I need to learn to relax, I was quite tense on the test ride, I def noticed that. Probably first nerves. And I'll def do what you suggest, to get used to the breaks. Then the accelaration.

And what's the vanashing point? I've also been watching video clips on youtube about counter steering.

The vanashing point is the furthest point in which you can see, even the fastest riders use this method,
if you font you end up dead[]

EG. Left hand bend, with hight hedges, you would normaly pull to other side of road, (to the right) you do this FOR A LOOK ONLY, then before you commit yourself get back to the white line and follow the road till you see exit then turn, if you turn without seeing the Exit you run the rist of running wide or entering a double apex and pannacing and jumping on the brakes. Also Forget about whan people say "Make sure you hit the apex", this is wrong for the road, you want to use as much of the road as possible, the apex is for racing!

This is anIBM ride, we did, so is a slow one for beginners, watch this, it wil show how to use the road to your benefit. and shows a guy who didnt use the road properly.[:-]We use the marker system, the fornt bike always at front , rear bike always rear, then who ever is second at any given time marks the junction and same with next, then when the rear end bike which never change passes then the marker whois generaly fast catches back up, means that slower riders dont suffer from peir preasure

Any comments welcome

Watched the video, was expecting the driver to come off, but it was his mate! So when you say "never go past the vanishing point", you're saying make sure you can see your exit before turning? So that chap was just going to fast for the corner, probably panic'd and slammed his breaks on, fish tailed and landed in the hedge :-s
