What kind of gas

RE: What kind of gas
I am gonna have to agree with ya on this one. Most manuals say 89+, but you really can't go wrong by putting the best in. BUT by all means use the pumps that have seperate nozzles. If you are using the ones where all the grades come out of the same nozzle, you are getting impurities from the other octanes.

RE: What kind of gas
where's that BS flag when you need one...
high octane gas does not mean it's the "BEST" gas...
you boys need to do some research mang...
it just means it's more resistant to predetonation and takes a higher temp to combust it.
that's all it means mang! has nothing to do with being the best.
use the least amount of octane possible without predetonation to get max power.
now when ***** tune hardcore sports cars on the dyno, where they tune for timing, and fuel, air, etc. to get the max power, the push the timing up but as far as gas, the give the the least possible without predot...ever wonder why? cause anything more is a waste...

RE: What kind of gas
keep it simple, you dont want to run super high octane just because its higher doesnt mean its better. the fuel map isnt designed for it and i wouldn't be supprised of you were actually losing power when you get to a certain point. 91 is what i use cuz thats what my bike seems to like. i've never put anything else in it EVER.

Completely agree with TahoeSC. The higher octane does not make for a better fuel. Higher octane just means that the fuel is more resistent to igniting from compression. If you want fuel for better perfomance, use race gas.

like i've said before...when i used higher octane gas, mah bike did feel faster only cause my wallet weighed less.
