I hit the rev limiter at about 15,500 RPM. I don't know this exactly but it is below 16k.

Shifting while wheeling, sounds bad. The only time I shift while wheelingis when the rev limiter is setting me down andonly to soften the landing, not to keep it up. But do what you want, It's you bike and your life!

I have the article around here somewhere, what ever Honda states on the tach is correct. Honda was the only one out of the big 4 to have a 0% margine of error on the red line/rev limiter
