Nate, just did mine last weekend. I still had the OE oil in there and it was filthy. I used Mobil 1 Synthetic and the OE Honda filter. Next time I will use a Wix filter.

I read alot of good things about Amsoil and Mobil 1.

And yes the filter was a nightmare to get off, had to use vice grips...

My bike seems to run great on it so far, and no parking tickets yet! (inside joke)

 

can't go wrong with supertech walmart brand oil, it's made by shell, so it's the best to use.
