2003 CBR600RR - oil light light stays on all the time when running , new oil , new filter , new OSU , tested wire which according to the service manual goes from OSU to instrument cluster is fine no breaks to ground - however if i apply 12v to the OSU lead light goes out and oil can in lcd screen gone as well !!! no idea I'm lost....Help!!

 

Check the circuit board inside the cluster for anything unusual (burn spots or melted )

 

there was some "green" on the cluster plug and inside the cluster itself - cleaned and re tried - same issue - so i ordered a used cluster - just waiting on some new spark plugs to arrive so i can re assemble the bike ,start it and test the used cluster - will keep you posted - here's to hoping !

 

*UPDATE* So it was the instrument cluster - something on the board must have shorted causing the oil light to stay on sourced a used one and all is good !!
