from a ninja250 to a cbr600rr?
I respect your opinion wolftalker, but I have to say that since the Ninja 250 is faster than most street cars 0-60, and since my 2 sons can hang with me pretty well even when I open up the RR for a short stretch, that it's no dangerous slouch on the road. I find when you are willing to roll on up above 8000 RPM, the Ninja comes alive significantly. What you have to do with it is THINK before commiting to a pass or a pull out, etc. Which to me is FAR superior than just using extreme accleration to overcome a mistake in judgment (I'm not accusing you of that at all don't get me wrong). I think that if new riders have to learn good judgment, then they will be far superior riders going forward on bigger, better faster bikes.

I ride a 600RR. Have access to a 1KRR stored in my hangar though. My 2 sons are 15 & 17, coming off of Honda 150 dirt bikes, so the 250 Ninja is PERFECT for their street transition.I will admit though they're eyeing the ole RR with GREAT interest & anticipation. 15 yr old can't reach the ground on it. 17 yr old barely can. So they gotta do a little growing first!!!
Course their growing costs me grocery money...oh well, such is the price for growing your own ridin buddies!!!
Nothing more fun than riding with your own flesh & blood. Gotta love it!!!
