Hey guys, buying my first bike.

06 cbr 600rr. 9k miles, salvage title.

Getting it from a family friend who owns a dealer. bike was totaled due to cosmetic damages. I saw the bike today and it has no frame dmg, everything looks clean.

Arizona bike, will have AZ restored salvage title when he is done. Good as new, if not better.

willing to sell it for 5k. is this a good deal? I think he will throw in some gear because I am first timer! (helmet, jacket, gloves)

 

Thats kinda high for a 06 with a salvaged title.

N being a first timer, you really need a bike that is more forgiving than a RR.

But... I would offer them $4k no higher than $4500.

 

Does it really make a different if it is salvage title vs a restored salvage title.

I dont plan on being an idiot on the bike or trying to ride outside of my skill level so I am pretty content with the RR. I am enrolled in some motorcycle skill classes, about 25 hours worth of ride time. But I do appreciate your concern.

I think I will offer 4500 and ask for a bunch of gear and free maintnence fora few years or maybe an add on warranty of some sort?
