I'm a newbie...is this a decent deal?
Wasn't sure if this would go in the F3 forum or here, so if it needs moved let me know.
I have found a guy locally who has a 1998 600f3 for sale. It isn't too pretty, but seems to be fairly solid. I had a guy who works at a dealership go over it with me, and it seems the only things it needs other than some body work are triple clamp bushings and some work on the taillight (might need rewired...he did an integrated LED setup and it isn't working correctly). Has about 30k on it, and he wants $2600. Can I get some feedback?
Thanks
Cody

RE: I'm a newbie...is this a decent deal?
I got mine for $2750, it's the special edition and all, had 28k miles on it, trip meter is broken (odometer works still), needed a new front tire, new chain (kinda, still needs) had some scratches on it but not much at all. I'd at least try to talk him down to a solid 2500.
And yeah, this kinda does belong in the F3 forum, the F3 owners check that a lot more and will be able to give you a lot more feedback. There's also a thread on there called "show us a picture" or something like that, and you can see bike conditions, then there's another called "how much did you bought your F3 for" (yes it says bought) and you can see where the people posted the prices, and compare with the pictures they showed
