He considered your 4000 offer an insult to his intelligence. Any seller is looking for fair market value, not to be bent over and screwed. Keep that in mind.

 

i payed $5300 cash for my 04 600rr, with 5700 miles on it 8-8-2008.

he was asking $5600, but i talked him down $300 because the oem tires had to be replaced soon.

average price for one with 5-7k miles is about $5,500

 

If you do see another bike like that I would say pay up to $5,000 for it. It better be damn near perfect too.
