yeah track requirements are full leathers, full fingered leather gloves, full face helmet, and over the ankle boots it you break 120 mph trap speed or get into the 10's.
the track is out in bithlo on hwy 50 east of orlando. its 15 bucks to race.
my main purpose for running at the dragstrip my first time was so i could practice hard launches for racing at road courses. i was planning on joining wera or ccs and wanted to be able to get the holeshot at the track, but i had so much fun that it wasnt about that anymore it was about the people and learning my bike more.
i dont lower my bike, i run stock ride height with street tire pressure. i ride to the track and then ride home.
i want to give big props out to REDBBWOY. he went with me as a new rider and then rode home with a group of about 6 of us and never tried to prove anything or out ride himself to keep up. he listened well at the track and acted like a mature experienced rider the whole time. i wish more new riders would act that way.
althoughi think the dreds hanging out the back helmet might have slowed him down a few MPH. LOLOL

It is all about learning the bike and the track. I started at the strip last year on the 954 and after about 100 passes over several weekends I was running my friends turbo Busa with NOS. do not get me wrong I love the CBR but their isnothing like ridding a 400 hp bike at mid 180 passes. I am still newer to it but I think I am going to have him build me a BUSA just for the track next year.
But redbbwoy justkeep working on the launch and it will come to you in time. you will need to work on slipping the clutch out of the box I am guessing at least that was my biggest and hardest part.
