Default ....motor vibration

I have an 03 600RR with 10,000miles. It has a vibration coming from the motor that starts to get pretty bad around 5K RPMand up. Itmakes my handsgo numb after a long period of time when riding....I know it is coming from the motor b/c it doesvibrateif the bike is moving or not... There is also a slight noise coming from the right side when I disengauge the clutch, but thatgoes away once it is engauged and the vibration does not change if the clutch is in or out. Any ideas of area's to look at when I go and start looking at the guts of the motor? It is super annoying and I want it fixed....my buddies 04 RR does not have a vibartion this bad....so I know something is off....

well i dont know why its vibration soo much, but the noise with the clutch is normal. its a wet clutch and it makes that noise, everyones does. as far as the extra vibrations, i guess go get it looked at... sounds normal but if your buddies is the same model and it doesnt vibrate as much then who knows, maybe your engine mounts are loose or something

yeah, gonna start tearing her down tonight. Going to go over the bike really well and and while I am in there I am going to make sure everything is in tune. Valve clearance, throttle body sync, check the ignition system. I want to make sure all the cylinders are firing like the should and nothing stupid is out of wack. Once that is done if it keeps up with the vibration then it will be time to start looking into the bottom end of the motor.....

throttle sync smoothed out the idle. didn't do anything for the vibration tho. I do have a missing bar end, so I guess that maybe it could be the cause. I am gonna get some metal bar ends and gel grips. I also found out the *** before me removed the air funnels/velocity stacks in the air box, took the paper media out of the air cleaner, and removed the ram air tubes from the air box.....wtf....

It sounds like you may have a misfire. Are you saying it has basically been running without a filter?

basically? It has been, its was owned by some stupid *** at some point. I still don't understand why people remove things off bikes like that....how backwards must you be to cut out the filter media, removed the air funnels, and ram air tubes....yeah, more HP right? I guess all the engineers at Honda don't know what they are doing and some hack kid can make it better.[:@]
