leaking oil pressure switch
Just wanted give a heads up. I bought my 06 600rr new last fall. I have about 6,000 miles on it and yesterday I noticed a small amount of oil spray on the on the right side of the engine case. After removing the right and lower fairings I concluded that the oil pressure switch was leaking a little and the wind was blowing the oil across the side of the bike. I tightened the switch and it seems to not be leaking anymore. Just something for you guys to keep your eyes on the lookout.

RE: leaking oil pressure switch
I had the same thing happen to my 06 cbr 600rr, I took it in although i also knew it was coming from the oil pressure switch, same oil spray onto the case and lower fairings. I could have tightened it but since it was still under warranty I took it in. They actually sealed it with a sealant compound, they said tightening it would have eventually made it worse since there is no gasket or washer for that switch...

yeah, that is me wheelieing. yeah, my bike has a doctors appt. tomorrow so I'm just gonna have them fix the oil leak because it still seems to be doin it. I'm having front end troubles and thats why its goin in the shop tomrrow. I have already had the fork seals replaced and the bushings inside the forks but now there is something loose like maybe the steering column bearings but since I cant feel the looseness on top of the steering column I have no idea what it is. oh well its all under warrenty so no worries.

RE: leaking oil pressure switch
I'm not blaming anyone but myself for the damage to the front end. It is all a result of learning to ride stand ups last year. But its under warrenty so I'm getting it fixed. It definitely comes as no suprise that there are problems from the way I ride. Oh well. I didnt buy it to baby it. I'll be tradin it this fall anyway.
